Deceased was assisting a repairer to remove rubbish, chiefly bating dirt, which had been placed alongside a road in the high Vein District, when a piece of side, consisting of coal and rubbish, fell over, pinning his head on the side of the trolley and completely burying him. He was dead when extricated. The fall disclosed a cross-slip which was not previously visible, and it was probably caused by the removal of the rubbish and the weighting of the roof.
