- 23 November 1934: Dysart Pit Accident Ends Fatally - An accident in the Randolph Colliery, Dysart, which occurred on Monday evening, has had a fatal termination by the death of James Collins, miner, 285 High Street Kirkcaldy. Collins succumbed to his injuries in Kirkcaldy Hospital yesterday. While working, underground, he had been caught and pinned by a fall of coal and stone, and although assistance was immediately forthcoming he sustained severe injuries to his back from which little hope of recovery was entertained.
