- Details of Event
- He was travelling along the colliery branch line in the colliers, train on his way home from work, and as the carriage was full, was sitting on the footboard. When passing the bridge between the screens and the tip, at Llanerch Colliery, he appears to have come in contact with some scaffolding and to have been knocked off the train and killed. He should not have been riding on the footboard. There is much need for improved discipline in connection with this travelling in colliers’ trains.
