Fall of side at face a piece of coal was being taken away from the side of a heading and on entering under the rippings which were supported by short props, a slant in the roof was met with, which caused a portion of the rippings measuring 9ft. 3ins. by 2ft. 4ins. by 3ft. 4ins. in thickness, to be overbalanced on the props.
