When in the act of taking out a sprag the coal fell suddenly, caught at injured him against a tub so severe that he died shortly after being taken to his home. There was a well-defined slip behind the coal of the existence which he knew, and it was an error of judgement under the circumstances to have had the tub where it would prevent him getting clear when I was drawing the sprag.
