- Details of Event
- Three wagons had been standing above the washer during the Xmas holidays on a siding which had a gradient of 1 in 36. Deceased was lowering tire first of the three to the washer in the ordinary course of his duty and was pushing at the buffer. He must have neglected to secure the other two, and they followed him down and crushed him between the buffers. The accident happened at 7.30 a.m. The lamps had been extinguished by deceased as he considered there was sufficient daylight.
