While deceased and another man were working on a ledge 4 feet wide at the base of 16 feet of overburden which they were removing a mass of overburden slipped off a concealed face of rock and swept both men over the face of the quarry, a fall of 40 feet. The other man was severely injured, but recovered. They were working in a dangerous way and without proper instructions.
