Details of Event
Deceased was sent by the fireman to clear a small fall on an untimbered roadway in the Yard Seam. Whilst so engaged, a piece of roof and side, 10 feet long, fell and killed him. The fall consisted of coal, black shale, fireclay, and cliff. The ground was of a friable nature, and should have been timbered.
