- Details of Event
- Deceased had suffered from heart disease for some years. On the day of the accident he was filling stones into a kibble which a lad took from him to a stow hoard. He lifted a large stone into the kibble which he himself described to the lad as being like a shark. Shortly afterwards he fell down and died. I saw the stone and could barely lift it and no doubt deceased had strained his heart while lifting it. The jury found: 'Died from heart disease accelerated by over exertion while at work.'.
