Details of Event
Deceased met with an accident on 27th June which caused slight injury to his side. He resumed work on 19th July and worked until 27th August, when he again met with a slight accident, on this occasion to his knee. He was attended by a medical man until 27th September, when his condition necessitated his removal to the hospital, where he died on 20th October. After a post-mortem examination, the medical opinion was that death was due to toxaemia from bronchitis and gangrene of the lungs, and that his condition may or may not have been caused by an accident. The coroner's jury, however, returned a verdict of "Accidental death."
