He had filled the grease boxes of a wagon standing clear of the screens and, while another was being lowered in the same road he crossed the rails with the intention of filling the boxes of another standing on the adjoining road under the screens and close to three uprights. He did not notice the wagon coming down, and was caught and dragged past one of the uprights and injured about the hips. Died on the 22nd inst. He had received definite instructions from his foreman not to do the work when a wagon was under the screens, near a pillar, or close wall.
