Ronald Clive Stuckey was killed in a motor accident on the Ipoh-Kampar road, Malaya, on 5th November, 1947, at the age of 25.
The son of the late Mr. L.C. Stuckey, M.lnst.M.M., he went to the Camborne School of Mines in September, 1939, and after completing the first two years of the course joined the Fleet Air Arm in July, 1941, and served as a lieutenant until April, 1946. He recommenced his studies at Camborne in September of that year and qualified for the first-class Associateship in July, 1947. In his final year at the School of Mines he was chairman of the Students’ Committee. After graduating he went to Malaya to take up an appointment with Messrs. Osborne & Chappel at lpoh.
He was elected to Studentship of the Institution in 1946.
