William Rich died in London in May, 1922, in his 66th year.
He was at Cornishman by birth, and his father, brothers and sons were or are all connected with the mining industry. He joined the staff of the Minas de Rio Tinto, Huelva, Spain, in 1886, and from 1888 to 1900 he occupied the position of manager of that Company’s mines. He then was established for some years in practice in Cornwall, but he came up to London in 1910 to join the board of the Namaqua Copper Co., Ltd., of which he was chairman and managing director.
Mr. Rich was elected a Member of the Institution in 1892.
