John Ingram Mullaniffe O’Beirne was killed while making an aerial flight on April 3rd, 1917. He was 24 years of age, and when war broke out was a student at Camborne School of Mines.
He joined the Royal Flying Corps, and at the time of his death held the rank of Lieutenant. He was at first reported ‘missing’; but it was afterwards ascertained that he had been killed.
Mr. O’Beirne was admitted to Studentship of the Institution in 1914.
