Algernon S. Bernard Oakley died early in 1909.
From 1883 to 1885 he was manager of the Indian Gold Mines Co., and was afterwards for a. number, of years employed by Messrs. John Taylor & Sons, at the mines under their management in India. Subsequently, he became a Director of the Ooregum Gold Mining Company of India, of the Sangli Mines, and of the Hutti (Nizam’s) Gold Mines, of which he was Chairman.
Mr. Oakley was elected a Member of the Institution in 1895.
