Everett Unwin Pringle Laurie died in the spring of 1912 in Northern Nigeria.
He studied at the Royal School of Mines, where he graduated as A.R.S.M. in mining and metallurgy in 1904. After completing his course, he went to South Africa and remained there until the end of 1907, at first in Cape Colony and afterwards on the Rand. In 1908 he went to India, where he obtained an appointment on the Kolar Gold Fields, and in the following year he joined the staff of the Siamese Tin Syndicate at Tongkat, Siam. Previous to going to Northern Nigeria, whither he went early in 1912, he spent about a year in professional work in the Federated Malay States.
Mr. Laurie was admitted to Studentship of the Institution in 1904.
