James Arthur Chetwynd Inglis was killed in action whilst serving as a Lieutenant in the 4th Batt., Highland Light Infantry, attached to the 1st Batt., Seaforth Highlanders, his death being reported from General Headquarters on May 18th, 1915.
He was 32 years of age, and received his technical training at the Camborne School of Mines. Subsequently he went to Victoria, Australia, and to California. Mr. Inglis was elected a Student of the Institution in 1911.
