Eugenio Haselden died at Linares, in Spain, towards the close of 1919, aged 37 years.
He passed through the Spanish Government School of Mines at Madrid between June, 1901, and September, 1907, and gained a diploma as a qualified mining engineer; From December, 1907, to April, 1909, he was resident engineer at Gergal for two groups of mines belonging to the Soria Mining Co., Ltd. In December, 1909, he was appointed assistant mine manager to the Galamon Mining Co. of Spain, Ltd., at Posadas, Cordoba, where he remained for nearly three years, when he accepted the position of manager of the San Miguel and Socorro mines in the Linares district. In 1915, he was occupying the same position on the Calebrina mine at La Carolina, Jaen, but in 1918 he returned to Linares.
Mr. Haselden was admitted to Studentship of the Institution in 1908, and was transferred to Associateship in 1913.
