Camille B. C. Bava was killed in action on September 26th, 1915. He joined the army early in 1915, and was gazetted 2nd Lieutenant in the Northumberland Fusiliers (Pioneers). He was 24 years of age at the time of his death, and received his professional training at the Royal School of Mines.
At the end of 1913 he went to South Africa and was, for a few months, on the staff of the Witwatersrand Gold Mining Co., Ltd., at Knights, Transvaal. When the war broke out he was engaged as surveyor to the Randfontein Central Gold Mining Co., Ltd.
Mr. Bava was admitted to Studentship of the Institution in 1912.
