British Mining No 7 – A History of the Conlig and Whitespots Lead Mines
by A. Woodrow
Metalliferous Mining in Ireland has been almost completely neglected by modern writers and the mines in Ulster are virtually uknown.
This volume, which may help to redress the balance a little, traces the history, development and characters involved in Northern Ireland’s once premier hard rock mining operation which, for a time, produced about a third of Ireland’s Lead output until its closure in the 1860’s.
This book is now out of print, however we do have a number of second hand ones available. These will be clean inside, but might have some fading on the spine. It is also available as a PDF download.
