This drift, which is in western Derbyshire, worked the Mountain Mine on the south side of the A626 Glossop Road. It was owned by J. Jowitt from 1861 to 1881, Abel Clayton from 1885 to 1890, but was in the hands of the Executors of Abel Clayton by 1895.
