AGM 2025

Announcement Date: March 29, 2025

In conjunction with this year’s AGM, Len arranged a tour of the Lancashire Mining Museum. The museum is located in the village of Astley Green on the site of the former Astley Green Colliery and, fortuitously, houses Lancashire’s only surviving colliery headgear and engine house. Both are considered of national importance and now have scheduled monument and listed building status, the engine house being one of the largest steam winding engines in its original horizontal engine house in Britain, of which only ten survive.
