Thomas White, who died in the autumn of 1910, received his technical training at the Bendigo and Ballarat Schools of Mines, Victoria, and for many years managed mines and metallurgical works in Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales and New Zealand.
For several years previous to his death, he resided in Melbourne. He was the inventor and designer of White’s amalgamating pan and White’s concentration tables, and was the author of a, short paper in the Transactions, vol. xvi, on ‘A combined Air and Water Spray.’
Mr. White was elected it Member of the Institution in 1899.
