Harold W. Webster died of wounds received in action on the Western front on April 12th, 1918.
He was educated at Heidelberg, in Germany, and on completing his studies he entered in 1909 the employment of the Central Zinc Co., at Seaton-Carew, Co. Durham. In May, 1913, he joined the staff of Minerals Separation, Ltd., and went to California for the American Syndicate, returning to the London head office in August 1914.
In December 1914, he was attached to the West Riding Division of the Royal Engineers, in which he obtained the rank of captain. He subsequently received his majority and was attached to the 497th (Kent Field Company) of the Royal Engineers, in the British Expeditionary’ Force.
Mr. Webster was admitted to Studentship of the Institution in 1907.
