Linton Beach Sutton died in June, 1911.
He graduated at the Michigan College of Mines in 1890, and in the nine years following was mining engineer to the Volunteer Iron Co., Michigan, the Fremont Gold Mining and Milling Co., Montana, and the Chapin Iron Co., Michigan, in succession. From 1899 to 1907 he acted in the same capacity to Messrs. S. Neumann & Co., during which time he superintended operations for that firm on various mining properties on the Witwatersrand. In 1907 he came to England, and thence proceeded to America. After a brief residence in Kansas City, Montana, he settled in New York as a consulting engineer, and remained there until the time of his death.
Mr. Sutton was elected a Member of the Institution in 1902.
