Roy Lancelot Naish died at Hove on September 10th, 1940, at the age of 57.
He received his technical training at the Adelaide School of Mines, and for about three years was occupied on various work in New South Wales, chiefly at Broken Hill. In 1910 he went to Malaya and was engaged in prospecting and reporting in the Malay States and Siam until 1913, when he was appointed general manager of Kamunting Tin Dredging, Ltd., a, position which he held until 1926, when he retired and subsequently lived in England.
Mr. Naish was elected a Member of the Institution in 1920.
