Edward John Quayle-Dickson was killed in action on October 26th, 1917, while serving as Captain in the Royal Engineers.
He was 28 years of age and was educated for the mining profession at Camborne School of Mines. In 1912 he went to Mexico, and held appointments at the Mexico Mines of El Oro and Las Dos Estrellas Mines. He resigned the latter in 1915 and returned to England to take up a commission in the Royal Engineers. He obtained his Captaincy in March, 1917, and four months later was awarded the Military Cross for gallant conduct in the field.
Mr. Quayle-Dickson was admitted to Studentship of the Institution in 1916.
