Evelyn Saffery Marshall died on April 6th, 1916, of wounds received in the operations of the Tigris Relief Force. He was 29 years of age, and had held a commission in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment since February, 1915.
He was educated at Camborne School of Mines and in 1909 a few months after the completion of his course, he went to South Africa and was a member of the staff of the Knight’s Deep Gold Mining Co., Ltd., at Germiston, for nearly six years. He severed his connection with the company in order to return home to serve his country.
Mr. Marshall was admitted to Studentship of the Institution in 1908.
