Arthur Longbottom died on November 16th, 1910, at the age of 27.
He obtained his professional training at the Royal School of Mines, and in July, 1910, obtained an engagement with the Lucky Chance Mines, Ltd., Northern Nigeria, where he died of dysentery.
Mr. Longbottom was admitted to Studentship of the Institution in 1909.
