R. Krishnaswamy died suddenly in India in 1947 at the age of 24.
Of Indian nationality, he was a student at the College of Mining and Metallurgy, Benares Hindu University, at the time of his election to Studentship of the Institution in 1945, and later gained the B.Sc. degree in Metallurgy. Towards the end of that year he took up a position with the Aluminium Co. of India, Ltd., Calcutta.
