Albert Gordon Kitchin died in October, 1911, aged 49.
He studied chemistry and metallurgy for three years at Clausthal, Germany, and for four years was chemist to Messrs. Burnyeat, Dalzell & Co., of Whitehaven. For the last 21 years of his life he followed his profession in Australia, at first as a consulting engineer in Melbourne and subsequently in Western Australia.
Mr. Kitchin was elected an Associate of the Institution in 1892.
