Francis John Malcolm Huddart died in Northern Nigeria in May, 1910, aged 26.
Educated at Charterhouse, in 1901 he commenced a course of study at the Camborne School of Mines and from 1902 to 1906 he was at the Royal School of Mines, where he obtained an Associateship in Mining.
From 1906 to 1907 he was appointed under the I.M.M. Post-Graduate Course to the Robinson Deep Gold Mines, South Africa, and on the completion of the course, he was retained there as assistant sampler and assistant surveyor. In 1909 he was engaged in professional work in London, and in 1910 took up an appointment in Northern Nigeria.
Mr. Huddart was admitted to Studentship of the Institution in 1905 and was transferred to Associateship in 1910.
