John Oliver Haselden died in March, 1935, at the age of 56.
He was educated privately, and in 1894 was apprenticed to Messrs. Eugene & Arthur Haselden, consulting mining engineers practising in the Linares and Le Caroline mining districts of Spain. In 1897 he was appointed assistant manager of the Centenillo mine, La Carolina, the property of the New Centenillo Silver Lead Mines Co., Ltd., and in 1904 was promoted to manager. This post he continued to fill until his death.
Mr. Haselden was elected an Associate of the Institution in 1907, and was transferred to Membership in 1911.
