Ronald Charles Hall died at Van Ryn, Transvaal, in December, 1934, at the age of 48.
He received his technical education at the Camborne School of Mines, obtaining the Diploma of the School in at year he entered the service of the West Rand Consolidated Mines, Transvaal, and was engaged in sampling, mining and assaying until 1913, when he was appointed assayer at Roodeport United Main Reef.
At the end of 1915 he returned to England and enlisted in the Artists Rifles, with which he served in France until the end of 1917, when he was commissioned to the 253 Tunnelling Company, RE. After the War he returned to the Transvaal and from then onwards was a member of the staff of Van Ryn Estates Gold Mine, Ltd.
Mr. Hall was elected a Student of the Institution in 1910, and was transferred to Associateship in 1919.
