Bryan Cookson died at his home at Crowhurst, Sussex, on October 8th, 1937, at the age of 61.
After studying metallurgy for two yours at King’s College, London, he spent three yours at the Camborne School of Mines, and in 1898 left for the Transvaal to take up a post at Simmer and Jack Mines. In the following year he joined the staff of South Rose Deep, and from 1903 onwards was engaged in business in London. During the European War he held a commission in the Army Service Corps.
Mr. Cookson was elected 21 Student of the Institution in 1895, and was transferred to Associateship in 1901.
