Henry Cockburn died in Spain, on July 17th, 1910, at the age of 27.
In 1901 he entered on a four years’ course for Mining Engineers at King’s College, London. Subsequently he spent some months in Spain, studying the language, and from 1906 to 1907 he was assistant manager of the Asturiano Mines, Ltd., at Covadonga. Thence to the date of his death he was assistant engineer on the mine railways of the Rio Tinto Company.
Mr. Cockburn was admitted to Studentship of the Institution in 1906, and was transferred to Associateship in 1909.
