Raymond Dunckley Douglas died of pneumonia at the Burma ruby mines on December 27th, 1920, aged 27 years.
He was a student at the Camborne School of Mines up to the outbreak of War. He received a commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Engineers and was successively attached to the 185th Tunnelling Company and the 290th A.T. Company with the Army in France. On the conclusion of the Armistice he obtained an appointment with the Burma Ruby Mines, Ltd., at Moyok.
Mr. Douglas was admitted to Studentship of the Institution in 1912.
