Frank Burnett Dick died at Lisbon on March 1st, 1923.
In 1894 he took his degree as Associate of the Glasgow Technical College, and in the following year was appointed metallurgical chemist to the Gold Ore Treatment Co., Ltd., of whose experimental plant in London he subsequently became works manager in 1896.
In 1898 he was appointed consulting metallurgist to Johnson & Sons Smelting Works, Ltd, Paul Street, Finsbury, with which company he was associated for a number of years. In 1918 he joined the staff of the Empress Metallurgica Portuguesa, Ltd., in Lisbon, with whom he remained until the date of his decease.
Mr. Dick was elected a Member of the Institution in 1908.
