Vertical winding engine. Timber headgear with two rope pulleys.
Vertical exhaust steam feed water heater.
Ventilation
Originally furnace
Waddle patent fan installed 1901, 12 feet diameter. Engine may have been by Sandycroft Foundry (anecdotal evidence – “Engine made in Wales, near Chester”)
Compressed Air
Compressor installed possibly 1872, 40psi. air pressure. (Walker supplied 25 inch air compressor to WC&ICo., Dec. 1871)
CLOSURE – 1923, abandoned 2 February 1924.
