Shafts
Two shafts sunk 1857
No.1 Pit, 11 feet diameter
No.2 Pit, 12 feet diameter, sunk to Arley Mine at 405 yards.
Winding
Twin cylinder horizontal engine, 24 inches x 60 inches, rated at 200hp., flat ropes. Headgears of timber, wood cage conductors, double deck cages carrying two 8 cwt tubs on each deck.
Pumping
Beam engine working two bucket lifts, bottom lift at Cannel Mine 183 yards, top lift from lodge at 92 yards.
Boilers
Originally egg-ended boilers, replaced with Lancashire boilers by W.C. & I. Co. Ltd.
Seams Worked
Cannel Mine, Haigh Yard Mine at 263½ yards, and Arley Mine.
CLOSURE
Production ceased 1910, colliery retained for pumping.
Abandoned c1933.
