Shafts
Two shafts sunk to intersect Arley Mine at 391 yards. Sinking commenced 1882. First coal wound 1890.
Winding
Two twin cylinder horizontal engines. Timber headgears.
Pumping
Underground self – contained steam pump, approx. 17,000 gallons per day.
Ventilation
Guibal fan 40 feet diameter x 12 feet wide, initially circulating 48,000cfm.
NOTE
Both shafts latterly filled up to King Mine horizon at 185 yards.
CLOSURE – 1934, abandoned 1936.
